Agilent India appoints Parmeet Ahuja as a President and Country GM

Agilent Technologies, the world’s premier measurement company and a technology leader in communications, electronics, life sciences and chemical analysis, has appointed Parmeet Ahuja as the new Country General Manager of Agilent India. Prior to his appointment to this position in May 2009, Parmeet was the Controller of Agilent’s Global Infrastructure Organization (GIO) at the corporate headquarters in Santa Clara. He succeeds Venkatesh Valluri as the Country General Manager of Agilent India.  

Parmeet joined HP/Agilent in 1995, where he worked on new business initiatives and portfolio management, later becoming the financial operations manager for the division.  He went on to work in the HP Consulting organization in Cupertino, California, and returned to Agilent in 2001 as Controller for the Financing group. He had earlier been in India from 2005 – 2007, running the general accounting operations of Agilent in Gurgaon.

Parmeet is a well-known industry personality who has been at the forefront of many developments. Mr. Ahuja graduated from Delhi University with a Bachelor’s in Commerce and he earned an MBA from San Jose State University, California.

Commenting on his appointment, Parmeet said, "Agilent Technologies has a world class product offering. The challenge over the coming months is to continue our customer expansion and revenue growth against the backdrop of the current financial climate. Our goal is to provide superior products and great overall customer experience at each touch point with Agilent."
