SonicWALL appoints Redington as its national Distributor

SonicWALL has appointed Redington ( India ), a Chennai-based provider of IT products and support services, as its national Value Added Distributor. Redington is a distributor of IT products and leading integrated Supply Chain Solution Provider that includes non IT products and involves the management of inventory of greater than 4000 SKU's (stocking units) while transacting business with over 10,500 channel partners globally. Redington represents more than 35 leading global brands covering product categories like Systems, Software, Peripherals, Components, Network products, Mobile Phones etc.

SonicWALL expects that there will be a positive impact from the tie-up to its financial performance in India . Redington sees this as valuable addition in its portfolio and offerings to the market. Today's move enables both Redington and SonicWALL to better meet the needs of a broader set of customers by combining the two companies' complementary strengths – reach and technology respectively.

Says P.S. Neogi, President, Redington ( India ), “SonicWALL is a 100% channel company. We appreciate that and it makes great sense to work with it. Additionally, as a Value Added Distributor, Redington needed a product that will add value to our current product portfolio. We see SonicWALL's product line further strengthening our presence in the security market. Our mandate will be to engage in market development activity in the initial months. We foresee revenues of about Rs. 7 Crores in the next nine months of the Fiscal Year 2007-08.”

SonicWALL has already has an impressive list of resellers in India and has posted higherthan- industry-average growth in India. The association with Redington is expected to give SonicWALL a reach in key markets and a wider footprint. The next phase of growth will be fuelled further after this tie-up.

SonicWALL & Redington will jointly conduct many seminars & events to help educate and make resellers & end-users aware of UTM, SonicWALL's technology capabilities and support initiatives.
