D-Link has announced that its Board of Directors had approved the appointment of Mr. Jangoo Dalal, as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer. Mr. K. R. Naik, the current Chairman & Managing Director at D-Link India, will assume the role of the Executive Chairman and continue to define and lead the company's growth strategy across the region.
Confirming the appointments, Mr. Tony Tsao, President, D-Link International said, “D-Link India is currently on the verge of a tremendous growth curve that pans markets across SMB's to Large enterprises. This we believe would be the ideal time to increase our presence across key markets and product segments through a focused approach. Mr Jangoo Dalal's appointment as the new MD & CEO at D-Link India Ltd. would help us drive forward our growth plans for the region, particularly by leveraging his rich experience across these markets and product segments. Additionally, with Mr. K. R. Naik's astute leadership at the helm, we expect to further reinforce our leadership position in India.”
Mr. K. R. Naik, while commenting on his new role said, “As the Executive Chairman, I would continue to help the company explore new opportunities in expanding our portfolio both geographically and through new products & technologies. Mr. Dalal's induction into our team would give me some more time to explore new avenues for the company, both strategically and operationally. I am sure we will benefit immensely from his rich experience and proven success record."
His immediate prior assignment was as President & Country Manager - Cisco Systems for its India & SAARC operations. Prior to this, he was Country Head of Enterprise - India & SAARC regions of Cisco Systems Inc. He has also served as the Head of Strategy & Operations, Asia Pacific Channel Organisation at Cisco based out of Singapore . Overall, he spent 10 years in various roles at Cisco, being part of driving its stupendous growth in India.
Mr. Dalal is an industry veteran with more than 20 years experience in the technology industry. Before joining Cisco in 1997, he served as Marketing Manager at Wipro-British Telecom. Mr. Dalal graduated from St. Xavier's in Mumbai and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Bombay University.
