Network Appliance has added SnapManager for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 to its suite of application data management solutions. SnapManager suite provides customers with enterprise-class backup, recovery, deployment, and management to help them dramatically reduce costs associated with storage and data management. NetApp is providing Office SharePoint Server 2007 customers with a cost-effective data management foundation and robust backup and recovery capabilities for resilient and scalable storage.

By leveraging other NetApp software such as NetApp SnapMirror, customers can achieve simple, flexible, and cost-effective Snapshot replication and mirroring for easy-to-use disaster recovery of SharePoint Server data. NetApp also provides tools that centralize data into easy-to-manage storage pools to easily scale Microsoft Office SharePoint Server environments. SharePoint users can also use NetApp FlexVol software to easily resize storage pools to maximize storage resource utilization.
NetApp Global Services (NGS) will offer professional and support services that complement these software offerings to help customers rapidly design and implement Office SharePoint Server environments enabled by NetApp.
NetApp SnapManager for Office SharePoint Server supports Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS) for high availability and Microsoft Multipath Input/Output (I/O) for resiliency in FC and IP SAN environments.
SnapManager for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 expands the NetApp business application integration software portfolio, which includes NetApp SnapManager for Microsoft Exchange, SnapManager for Microsoft SQL Server, SnapManager for SAP and SnapManager for Oracle.
