Nokia has announced the launch of Nokia E61i smartphone, an email device with a 2 megapixel camera. With the launch of Nokia E61i, Nokia's Eseries range now has a bouquet of over 4 smartphones in India. The newly launched Nokia E61i aims to add value and empower today's mobile workforce.
The
Nokia E61i comes with all the business applications of a Nokia Eseries device and provides Quadband GSM/EDGE coverage for international usage (850/900/1800/1900) with WCDMA 3GPP Release 99. The phone supports a MP3/ AAC/MP4 formats, music player, media player, 2 mega pixel camera and Java MIDP 2.0-based games and applications. It features Video and Audio streaming via 3GPP and Real media.
Sharing details of the Nokia E61i smartphone, Mr. Chakrapani GK, Country General Manager, Nokia Enterprise Solutions, said, “The launch of Nokia E61i smartphone will enable the workforce experience a full range of mobile email features apart from increasing their productivity, improving business communication and optimizing the costs.”
Nokia E61i also features WCDMA PS (packed switched date) with maximum upload and download rate of 384 kbps withemail date roaming and Infrared module (upto 115 kbps), making it an efficient device for traveling professionals across the globe. It has a 60 MB built in memory and swappable micro SD memory card upto 2 GB. The smartphone comes with a five-way Nokia NaviTM key with two customizable soft keys, power key that can be used as a profile key and My Own key.
Nokia E61i offers personal information management and apart from the regular calendar, to do list, notes, file manager and contacts, it provides Nokia ‘Team Suite' application for facilitating conference calls and communicating via SMS and emails with team members. It further aids business with the email supports like POP/IMAP and SMTP protocols along with Nokia Intellisync wireless email 8.0 and a variety of third party E-Mail clients: Mail for exchange 1.5, Vista Mobile V 5.5, RIM Blackberry Connect V2.1 and good mobile messaging.
