APC-MGE Appoints Pankaj Sharma as President

APC-MGE, a global leader in critical power and cooling services, has announced the appointment of Pankaj Sharma as President, APC-MGE- India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh and reports to David Plumer, recently appointed as senior vice president APC-MGE & president of Asia Pacific & Japan for APC-MGE.

According to David, “We are delighted to have Pankaj leading APC-MGE's business in India . Pankaj will continue to foster open and ongoing communication with our local stakeholders, in particular our customers, partners and employees, supporting their needs from the desktop to the data center to the factory floor. With ultimate responsibility for the complete care of our customers, Pankaj will ensure APC-MGE continues to create delighted customers through the delivery of the industry's most comprehensive solution and service offering and a focus on the specific needs of the marketplace.”

Prior to this, Pankaj was the APC Country General Manager, ISB region, for three years. Earlier, he was the Country Service Manager at APC for three and a half years. As the CSM, he was responsible for setting up the AGS (APC Global Service) division in India . He was also instrumental in defining the service delivery mechanism and establishing the professional services and projects business.

In his role as a Country General Manager, APC - ISB, Pankaj was responsible for overseeing the sales, service and marketing aspects of APC business for India , Sri Lanka and Bangladesh . He was voted APC's Most Valuable Player in 2002 and has won the APC ‘General Manager Leadership Award' for the Asia Pacific region in 2003.

Maintaining leadership in the Power Protection market, building a world-class team of professionals who can deliver value to the customers consistently, further strengthening solutions in the Enterprise space and most importantly establishing APC-MGE as a leading global provider of critical power and cooling services, are amongst his key tasks in his new role.

APC-MGE was formed in February 2007 when Schneider Electric acquired APC and combined its market leadership with that of MGE UPS SYSTEMS. Laurent Vernerey, executive vice president of Schneider Electric, is APC-MGE's president and CEO.
