Sify has announced the appointment of Arvind Mathur as its Chief Architect-Global Services. He will be based in Delhi and will be responsible for architecting services, solutions and the product portfolio across the company's business lines, including evolution of the core network infrastructure to support next generation, managed IP services and applications for global customers.

Arvind brings with him over 17 years of international experience in the telecommunications and networking arena having worked with major telecom and network services providers; innovation and development centers; and network equipment providers. His prior assignments include stints at the Research Institute of Electrical Communication (Japan), Advanced Fibre Communications, Teleglobe Inc (USA), JDS Uniphase Inc (Canada) and Bharti Airtel Limited. Prior to joining Sify, Arvind was Vice President and Head of Global Product Management, Network Services for the Enterprise Business Division at Tata-VSNL.
Arvind holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and a Masters Degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi specializing in Optical Communication and Optoelectronics. |
