Close on the heels of setting up its own fully owned subsidiary in the country, Brother International, has launched an innovative scheme for the channel partners titled `Family Fun – Brother Ke Sang', wherein channel members become eligible to travel to Bangkok, Malaysia, Mauritius or Switzerland on achieving certain targets.
On offer are the range of Brother brand of products comprising, All in Ones (Inkjet & Laser); Laser printers, Fax machines and consumables. All that a channel partner has to do is buy these products from the National Distributors namely Neoteric, Godrej, Lipi Data and Spice and qualify for the foreign trip. The company has classified the cites in terms of categories A, B and C, so a partner from category A city has to do business worth Rs.5 lakhs and go to Bangkok or achieve 15 lakhs and go to Switzerland, while for categor, while for category B it is Rs. 4 – 14 lakhs , and category C is Rs. 3 – 13 lakhs till June 30, 2007.
Mr.R.S.Anandkumar, General Manager – Printing Solutions, Personal & Home Divisions, Brother International ( India ), said. "The scheme is unique in the sense it motivates our partners to have fun along with their families. The targets are kept quite reasonable so that it is easy to achieve the slab. The partners can choose the destination they want to go and accordingly plan their purchase and activities."
Brother has a footprint across 300 cities making it easier for customer to access Brother's products like Inkjet and Laser MFD, laser printers; fax machines and Labelling machines. Brother has already been active in the Indian market with several launches and channel initiatives, and is stepping up activities for enhancing reach and penetration in the Indian market.
Brother has entered into an alliance with Neoteric Informatique to target IT channel in particular. The company has an alliance with partners like: Kores for P-Touch Label printers; Godrej for fax machines and MFCs, Lipi Data Systems as a National Corporate Partner for Laser printers, Spice as a value distributor and Accel ICIM as the National Service provider. These alliances will help the company consolidate its reach and target more than 300 cities in the country.
