AMD has hosted a landmark channel event at Morocco to share its product roadmap, reiterate its plans and share its outlook for the Indian market. The three day annual event recognized the critical role the channel partners played in bringing award-winning AMD products to the mainstream Indian markets and in further expanding the market to small towns and cities in India . Eighteen channel partners were acknowledged and rewarded for their contribution during the event.
“AMD is driving innovation by working with the channel partners that are recognized in the marketplace as strong technology advocates and influencers,” said Alok Ohrie, Managing Director, AMD India at the event. “Our goal is to help our channel partners understand and apply advanced technologies to deliver better solutions that are more valuable to their customers.”
This tour was instrumental in communicating AMD's marketing plans and future product lines to the channel partners post ATI acquisition. Over the years AMD's technology leadership with high performance products and a strong relationship centric approach has helped the company to successfully establish and strengthen the blocks for its business with OEMs, software vendors, channels, enterprise and government markets.
Speaking about the training program, Haresh Bharia, Director, Sales and Distribution, AMD India said “With the ATI merger AMD is putting up new programs in place for the channel partners and elevating the relationship to a higher level. AMD is now working towards empowering the channel partners by leveraging various technological innovations in the graphic card space through training programs. An occasion like this is not only helpful in taking the channel partners through upcoming product lines and strategies but it also helps to garner vital feedback from channel partners and to aptly thank them for their contribution. We encourage all channel partners to embrace the new products being launched so that together we can address the needs of our customers and take technology innovation to their doorsteps.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nilesh Amonker of ACES Infotech, Goa said, “Our partnership with AMD is fairly young, and through events such as this one we see an opportunity to grow this relationship leaps and bounds for a long term benefit. The scale and grandeur of the event was matched by the technical training sessions which gave us an insight into the future roadmap of AMD as well as upcoming quad core products and their value proposition against competitive platforms. We truly value the relationship we share with AMD and hope to take this to the next level.”
