Nokia has announced the launch of Nokia E65 smartphone, the stylish smartphone designed especially for the stylish executives “on-the move”. Part of Nokia's flagship Eseries range, the Nokia E65 smartphone is the latest addition in the category adding slim and style elements to this range of business devices. The Nokia E65 will be offered in distinctive colors such as mocha and red with a unique leathery finish, suitable to the style conscious workforce.
The Nokia E65 is packed with all the mobile business capabilities of a Nokia Eseries device and provides easy access to the most frequently used applications by using the ‘One Touch Keys' on the front cover.
Sharing details of the newly launched Nokia E65 smartphone, Mr. Chakrapani GK, Country General Manager, Nokia Enterprise Solutions, said, “The launch of Nokia E65 is our attempt to provide a wide-range of business devices without compromising on the performance and form factor whilst enhancing personal productivity. Nokia E65 supports a 2 mega-pixel camera along with video and audio streaming (3GPP and Real Media). It operates across different continents using the quadband GSM and 3G network frequencies and also provides fast broadband data connectivity with 3G WCDMA and WLAN. The ‘Active Standby' feature of Nokia E65 allows the user to customize the phone display to show and provide quick access to user-defined applications. The Nokia E65 can be integrated with leading corporate telephony systems with Nokia Intellisync Call Connect for Cisco, Nokia Intellisync Call Connect for Alcatel and Avaya one-X Mobile Edition for Nokia solutions. The Nokia E65 device also supports the most used corporate and consumer email solutions.
The phone supports a MP3/ AAC music player, media player and Java MIDP 2.0-based games and applications. It also supports Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) digital rights management (DRM) 1.0 with forward lock. The Nokia E65 supports Voice over IP (VoIP) calls via integrated WLAN. The smartphone comes with a five-way Nokia NaviTM key with two customizable soft keys, power key that can be used as a profile key and My Own key. It runs on the S60 3rd Edition, built on the Symbian operating system.
The Nokia E65 allows the user to read emails with attachments and supports POP/IMAP, SMTP, and IMAP4 with idle protocols. It supports connectivity via Dual Transfer Mode (DTM), Bluetooth wireless technology, Pop-Port Connector and IrDA, EGPRS, GPRS. It supports remote and local (peer-to-peer) synchronization of calendar, contacts, notes and to-do list via Bluetooth technology, IR, or USB connectivity cable. The Nokia E65 supports voice dialing, voice commands and voice recording.
