2. How many channel partners do you have? Is there any plan to increase the current number?
Simmtronics already has 1800 direct billing partners. Expansion & addition is an ongoing process & we will keep increasing our numbers along with our reach & footprint.
3. What is your distribution model in India?
We work with DIRECT BILLING PARTNERS (DBP). This is what we call all our registered partners to whom we bill directly. There is no concept of national distributors or regional distributors in our selling system. We have our own 16 branch offices in India which serve as sales & support office. This way, we are closer to our partners & thus can understand their needs better.
4. What is your go-to-market strategy in India?
At Simmtronics, we are very aggrssive with our GTM strategy. We keep our DBPs excited with programs & schemes round the year. These are very carefully thought & devised schemes and are run keeping in mind the market conditions & the area. The central theme or the objective of launching it is very important because that is what decides the success of it. The key is to make as many DBPs participate in it as possible.
5. Do you have any promotional activities for channel partners in this quarter or in near future?
We are currently running a short duration INDEPENDENCE DAY SPECIAL "FREEDOM TO EARN MORE" program for our channel partners. It started on August 12th and is valid till August 18th, 2009. We will launch a new scheme next month and our DBPs who win in it shall get a chance to visit the GITEX 2009 in Dubai as a reward. Besides this, we keep organizing road shows & other promotion activities. We shall keep you informed of the same as and when they are finalised.
6. What are the additional benefits which Simmtronics is planning to give to its channel partners compared to the competition?
We at Simmtronics believe in the knowledge of pwoer. We know what it means to make informed decisions. And therefore we invest heavily on information transfer to our direct billing partners. We keep them updated on the industry and market trends by sending out e-mailers regulary.
7. What is your goal in 2009?
Our business goal is very clear. The first priority is to survive the melt down & then emerge as numero uno brand in motherboards , memory modules & graphics cards across the world.
