HP introduces Newest Entry-Level HP Integrity Servers

HP has strengthened its Integrity server lineup by introducing the new rack-optimized unit- the Integrity rx2660 entry-class server. The server major also introduced a new version of the HP-UX 11i operating system and new model for BladeSystem c-Class environment, to facilitate mission-critical virtualization practical for businesses of all sizes.

The HP Integrity rx2660 is the lowest-priced Integrity rack-mount server in the country and is the most flexible and versatile unit in its server class. The new rx2660 is the first Integrity model of entry-class server that will handle robust application tier workloads and is versatile enough for porting, application serving, testing and development.

With the launch of the new line of server products, HP India refurbishes its GOTO market strategy by making these servers available through select channel partners. HP continues to expand and equip expert channel partners with technical expertise and resources to broaden the market reach to enterprises of all sizes. HP has also launched new channel programs to help broaden the reach of the world's most advanced computing platform.

HP's latest Integrity Server line makes virtualization easier to deploy with mainframe-class availability.

Also, with the new Blade server, important applications, including business intelligence and data warehousing, are now simpler to secure and manage. The new HP Integrity BL860c Server Blade combines the flexibility of the HP BladeSystem c-Class infrastructure with the robustness of the HP-UX 11i operating environment and the dependability of HP Integrity Servers.

The new HP-UX 11i v3 operating system delivers the highest business value and lowest cost of ownership for enterprise UNIX. HP-UX11i v3 offers industry-leading, mission-critical virtualization capabilities, helping customers pool computing resources to increase server utilization and reduce costs, while improving performance and availability. HP-UX 11i v3 is designed to effectively manage over 100 million zettabytes of storage (1 zettabyte = 1 billion terabytes).

The ecosystem of applications on the Integrity platform continues to flourish. More than 10,000 applications are now available on Integrity servers, nearly doubling over the past year.

Today majority of the Fortune100 companies worldwide as well as the largest Indian corporations trust HP Integrity servers. HP Integrity servers offer customers the broadest range of choice in building an industry-standard platform for enterprise computing that exists in the marketplace today. In 2006 alone, HP India sold close to 1000 Integrity servers running HP UX, Windows, Linux and OpenVMS to Indian corporations.
