Epson Introduces Wireless Projector For Advanced Business Needs

February 27, 2008

Epson has unveiled the EPSON EMP-1825 multimedia business projector. As an upgrade model, the latest business projector from Epson features significant improvements to its wireless and PC-less features, while maintaining the same compact design.

Sophisticated new wireless & PC-less functions

As a partner to Microsoft's Windows Vista development, Epson's new projector is fully compatible with Microsoft's newest operating system. Simply select “connect to a network projector” (under “Accessories”), and the PC/laptop will seamlessly detect and establish a wireless connection to the EPSON EMP-1825.

Wireless data transfer speed between PC and projector has also improved five times over its predecessor, thereby minimizing waiting time and ensuring no visible lag during projection. The EPSON EMP-1825 also receives an upgrade and now not only supports MPEG 2 movie clips but also the popular WMV format. For rich multimedia experience, the EPSON EMP-1825 enables the projector to receive and play movie files with sound without additional external speakers.

The new projector is also capable of running a full presentation without the need to be tethered to a PC. The EPSON EMP-1825 comes integrated with an internal Compact Flash card slot and USB port. Simply insert any compatible memory card (not included) and the projector automatically detects and beams presentations (converted with provided EMP SlideMaker2 software), photos and even plays movie files in MPEG2, MPEG4 and WMV formats.

Sight, Sound and Connectivity for the complete multimedia experience

The EPSON EMP-1825 offers high quality XGA resolutions and a built-in speaker to effectively engage audiences through sight and sound. With lamp brightness rated at 3500 ANSI lumens, the projector is powerful enough to beam images without dimming the lights in a conference room.

For effortless and rapid setup of presentations, the projector boasts a full range of regular connection ports. Besides the usual connectivity, the projector has a USB (Version 2.0, PC compatible only) port for users to establish projector-to-computer connections using the common USB cable instead of the more complicated VGA cable. No extra setup is needed as the projector automatically detects the active USB connection and beams images immediately.

The EPSON EMP-1825 also features the unique Multi-Screen Display using wireless or wired LAN. This feature is extremely useful when presenting broad spreadsheets or panoramic images. There is also the flexibility of showing four different images at the same time or one single image across the breadth of four screens. Best of all, the Multi-Screen Display presentation can be controlled via a single computer or with the use of a remote control.

The projector also includes rapid ‘Power-On', ‘Instant-off' and the useful A/V mute slide. The ‘Power-On' and ‘Instant-off' features allow presentations to commence and end without any delay, while the user-friendly A/V mute slide feature allows presentations to pause for discussions to take place without the unwanted distraction from light seepage and fan whirl.

Intelligent maintenance management

By using Epson's EMP Monitor software with EPSON EMP-1825, users can monitor and manage the condition of up to 1,024 networked projectors from one location. The software also provides remote access to functions found on the projector. For easy maintenance, the EPSON EMP Monitor software can be preset to send email alerts to the user if any networked projector requires attention.

3LCD Technology – The pulse behind the image

As with all Epson projectors, the EPSON EMP-1825 uses the 3LCD technology to create shaper, clearer and more vivid visual reproductions in the most natural colour tones. Maximum brightness is achieved by using the light-efficient E-TORL (Epson-Twin Optimise Reflection Lamp) technology.

In all, the new projector offers all round superior images and combines all the most advanced features. With unsurpassed performance, get ready to set your presentations apart from the competition. The EPSON EMP-1825 business projector is as impressive as it gets. The projector is available from February and is priced at Rs. 1,42,700.
