HP India has introduced the HP Scanjet G4050 and G4010 photo scanners that feature the world's first 6-color/96-bit scanning technology. The HP Scanjet G4050 and G4010 will allow users in the home and graphics segment to scan and preserve documents, photos, slides, and negatives with exceptional color accuracy compared to previous generations of scanners. The HP Scanjet G4010 and HP Scanjet G4050 are available at an affordable price of Rs.11, 999/- only and Rs. 17,999/-only respectively.
Unlike a traditional three-color scanner which uses only three samples in the primary colors of red green and blue, HP breakthrough 6-color/96-bit technology uses an additional light source that provides the scanner with an additional thee extra samples for every pixel.
“At HP we constantly innovate to enable our users and customers with the latest technology and features in our products. With the growing trend of home users and customers digitizing their images and documents to preserve, store and share them easily, the new HP Scanjet G4050 and G4010 will empower them with a photo lab in their own home or office,” said Ashwini Aggarwal, Country Category Manager – Business Imaging & Printing, HP India Sales. “The technology, developed by HP Labs, also addresses the industry-wide issue of image noise and film grain in photo scans, resulting in more inaccurate color reproductions not before seen in scanners at such a low price point.”
Key features and benefits
The HP Scanjet G4050 and G4010 Photo Scanners enable users to create high-definition scans with superior 6-color/96-bit scanning and 4,800 x 9,600-dpi resolution. With included HP Real Life technologies, users can easily restore old or damaged photos, slides and negatives by removing dust and scratches, restoring faded color, automatically removing red-eye and enhancing detail in dark areas of photos.
HP's latest scanners also offer a built-in transparent materials adapter. For scanning multiple images at once, the HP Scanjet G4050 Photo Scanner can hold up to sixteen 35-mm slides or 30 negative frames, with precise hardware dust and scratch removal; while the HP Scanjet G4010 Photo Scanner can hold up to five 35-mm slides or six negative frames.
In addition to the 6-colour scanning, the G4050 features innovative hardware dust and scratch removal functionality. Using an infrared (IR) light source to detect tiny anomalies like dust and scratches, transparent materials that have such blemishes can have them automatically and quickly removed at the time of scanning without the need for software intervention, ultimately ensuring users receive sharper images
Both the G4010 & G4050 scanners feature four 1-touch task buttons to quickly organize, edit, share and save scans. At the touch of a button, users can also easily save images to PDF.
With high-definition scanning at 4,800 x 9,600-dpi resolution and 48-bit color, users will enjoy exceptional photo, film and document scans with true-to-life color and detail.
The scanners can also quickly scan multiple 4 x 6-inch photos and automatically save them as individual files, in addition to producing high-quality scans of various paper sizes and 3D objects such as books, memorabilia, framed photos, special craft projects, slides and jewelry. |
