Intel has announced the first three resellers to be nominated into the channel program for Intel Software Tools. The channel program for Intel software products was announced in October last year across Asia , with India leading it. The program provides benefits and opportunities to the drive market adoption of Intel Software Development products and participate in the global multi core momentum.
The top resellers to be included into the software channel partner program in India are
- Tata Elxsi focussed at performance computing segment
- Softcell focused at the Enterprise segment
- Sonata focussed at the Education segment
As part of the plan to continue the spread of parallelism to software developers with their top resellers, Intel Software Development products will be having software developer seminars. The theme of the seminars is Parallelism and it will endeavor to help India 's software developers understand and use tools which enable them to efficiently create reliable, high-performance threaded applications to take full advantage of multi-core processing systems.
"These are the tools software developers need the most to enable them to exploit parallelism from multi-core processors," said Phil De La Zerda, Marketing Director for Intel's Developer Products Division. "Developers do not want to inflate their code by writing their own thread management code and no one should have to debug and tune applications using yesterday's developer tools. These products work with other Intel tools, understand locks, OpenMP and other parallel constructs, and fit easily into current development environments."
"Multi-Core is a tremendous opportunity in transition for Indian Software Developers to build innovative solutions" said Narendra Bhandari, Director Software Solutions Group for Intel Asia Pacific who highlighted the future of Multi-Core Computing and Phil de la Zerda highlighted the tools which improve the productivity of developers building Parallel applications.
Developers will also have a great opportunity to participate in a multi-threading coding competition for its software developers the multi-core threading competition. The objective of these multi-core threading contests is to accelerate readiness. Software developers will get hands on experience using Intel's software tools and services and learn how to thread applications faster. Also included are webinars on various levels of parallelism. |
