Infinite Computer Solutions, the Bangalore-based leading global IT solutions and services provider, has announced the setting up of a Telecom Competency Center in the Bangalore . The new center was inaugurated by Mr. Oscar Fernandes, Hon'ble Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Government of India.
The center is being set up with an investment of USD 5 mn and will be staffed with about 250 telecom experts over the next twelve months. It will focus on developing intellectual property, product platforms and service frameworks to help telecom operators to significantly reduce costs, speed up time to market for new services and grow their business. The center will complement Infinite's existing telecom services portfolio and strengthen its telecom focus and enhance growth across the vertical.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Upinder Zutshi, CEO, Infinite Computer Solutions, said, “We are deeply honored and thankful to Mr. Oscar Fernandes for inaugurating the telecom competency center. Telecom services will play a key role in helping Infinite achieve its goal of becoming a USD 300 mn company by 2009. The telecom solutions & services will contribute over 35 % to the revenue goal of the company.”
In line with this strategic initiative, Infinite Computer Solutions has appointed Mr. Partha Teerdhala as Senior Vice President, Telecom Practice. Partha will be responsible for driving and strengthening the telecom capabilities and enabling growth in this space across geographies.
Partha has a proven track record of success with Fortune 100 and entrepreneurial business in telecom, wireless, networking, IT and software having worked with companies like Nextel Communications, Iridium LLC and Nortel Networks. He also founded Lanco Communications, a start-up focused on building and delivering OSS applications. He has held a wide range of senior management responsibilities spanning P&L, business development, marketing, product strategy and software development. Partha has a BS in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and a MS in Management from University of Texas at Dallas . |
