In an endeavor to further strengthen its sales network, Nokia India has announced the appointment of Mr. Shakeb Rais as the National Sales Manager, Security and Mobile Connectivity (SMC) for its Enterprise Solutions division. In his role, Mr. Rais will be responsible for the sales and distribution of Nokia's security products and solutions (Firewalls/ Intrusion Management, Unified Threat Mangamenet and VPNs) and would focus on driving the Nokia for Business Channel program and growing the security solutions business across industry verticals.
Mr. Rais comes on board with over 18 years of experience in Information Technology & Telecom industries. Prior to this, Mr. Rais was the Strategic Alliance Manager at Cisco Systems where he was responsible for the alliance with Hewlett Packard Asia Pacific Business.
Speaking on the appointment of Mr. Rais, Mr. Chakrapani GK, Country General Manager, Nokia Enterprise Solutions, said, “Nokia Enterprise Solutions in India , over the last 2 years, has successfully established a strong footprint in the market. We are confident that Shakeb with his experience in the IT industry and specialization in areas of channel management and business development will work torwards making Nokia a prefereed partner for both enterprises and channel partners.”

Prior to Cisco, Mr. Rais spent 8 years in Compaq India in various Business Development roles, leading Key System Integration and Network Integration projects. His earlier career stints also include companies such as Hinditron and Onward Technologies in the Customer Services Area.
