Samsung India has unveiled its Special Colour television promotion offers for the World Cup Cricket period called 'Ek Size BADA Milega Kya'. This innovative offer, which offers assured gifts or an attractive upgrade offer with select Samsung 21" and 29" Slim TV or Flat TV models, is available pan India , between March 7 to April 21, 2007." The basic idea behind this Promotion is to give Consumers a chance to move up the value chain and enjoy the benefits of a larger screen TV or a Slim TV without paying the additional differential" states Mr R Zutshi, Dy Managing Director, Samsung India.
The Samsung 'Ek Size BADA Milega Kya' is a scratch based Consumer offer. As part of this promotion, one in any five Samsung customers buying a Samsung 29" Flat Colour television have a chance to upgrade to a 29" Slim Samsung TV, without paying for the differential .Similarly, any one in ten Samsung customers buying a Samsung 21" Flat TV have a chance to upgrade to a 29" Samsung Flat TV model or a 21" Slim TV. For example, a Samsung customer buying a Samsung CZ21K43 model (priced at Rs 9,400/-) can, based on the outcome of the scratch card, upgrade to a Samsung 29" Flat TV (CS29 M16 model) priced at Rs.16,000/-, without paying for the upgrade. Similarly, a customer buying a Samsung 21"TV(Model 21K10) priced at Rs.7,900/- stands a chance to upgrade to a Samsung 21"Ultra Slimfit TM TV ( CS21Z30) priced at Rs.10 ,500/-.
Customers who do not win an upgrade, have a chance to win any of the following Samsung products – a Samsung 26" Bordeaux LCD television, a Samsung Home Theatre System, a DVD Player or an assured gift of a Samsung Twin DVD Pack. For customers buying a hi end (woofer based or Slimfit) Samsung 29" colour television or a 21" Slim TV model, there is no upgrade offer but an assured gift of a 6 DVD Pack. "Based on our innovative Consumer offer during the World Cup cricket period, we expect to notch up sales of 300,000 Colour televisions during the Promotion period", states Mr. Zutshi.
To encourage customers to enrich their viewing experience by watching the cricket matches on Samsung LCD TVs, the Company is offering very special prices on select LCD models during the Promotion period. Thus, while the premium Samsung 40" Bordeaux model LA40R7 is available at a special price of Rs 99,900/-, the Samsung Sonoma model, LA40S7 is available at Rs 95,900/- during the Promotion period.
The popular Samsung 32" Bordeaux, LA32R7 and LA32R7W will be available at Rs 59,000/- while the Samsung 37" Sonoma model LA37S7 will be available at a special price of Rs.79,000/-.The Samsung entry level 42" Plasma model , PS42C7, has been made available at a special price of Rs.79,000/-. The Company is also making available attractive triple zero per finance offer and 5% cash back offer on its entire LCD range during the Promotion period.
Samsung also boosted its Slim TV offering in the month of February by launching the World's Slimmest Flat TV – the Ultra SlimFit TV in the Indian market. The Samsung Ultra SlimFit TV (CS 21Z43) is 40% slimmer than conventional Flat TVs and has been designed to fit in small and narrow spaces. It has been launched in 53 cms(21") screen size and is priced at Rs.11,000/-.
