Brocade Communications Systems has announced that Brocade Conference 2007 was successfully concluded on 6 th March in Delhi and the next Brocade Conference will be held in Mumbai on March 8, 2007.
A unique forum that gathers key storage experts from across the globe, the Brocade Conference promotes sharing of knowledge and experiences on the enterprise storage front. Attended by Brocade users, partners and prospects, this year's conference will be of specific interest to McData customers as well.
At the conference, Brocade will share its plans of delivering new levels of interoperability and SAN management to protect and extend customers' investments especially after the McData acquisition. In line with their earlier acquisitions of Silverback and NuView, the move is set to take their existing product offerings and services to new heights.
Brocade's Regional Sales Director, South Asia Pacific/Korea Mr. Gerald Penaflor who will be gracing the event, will provide insights on the company's direction in the near future and his business strategy for the Asia Pacific region.

Coinciding with the McData acquisition announcement was the launch of a new brand, which includes an updated corporate logo, website and other details. Taking between eight to 12 months to complete worldwide, the primary goal of this exercise is to emphasise on what Brocade truly stands for.

Through the re-branding exercise, we hope to highlight to both our existing and potential customers that we are more than just a SAN company, but a data company that provides a total solution to their storage networking needs,” said Deb Dutta, Vice President of Asia Pacific/Japan for Brocade. “Brocade has done extremely well in the Asia Pacific in recent years, and we would like to ride on this momentum to achieve even greater success for the coming year.”
