Nortel Appoints Sanjay Singh as Director SMB

Nortel has announced the appointment of Sanjay Singh as Director- Small and Medium Business (SMB), effective immediately. This appointment reflects Nortel's stated objective of accelerating the strong momentum in its SMB business.

"Sanjay is a high-energy, result-oriented leader with a proven track record of growing business. He enjoys the confidence of the channels community as well, which is an important element of our SMB go to market strategy” said Dhananjay Ganjoo, vice president-Enterprise, Nortel India.

“The SMB segment is going through a process of evolution and businesses are looking at technologies to enable them to grow bigger. Nortel is gearing up to become a dominant player in this segment. To grow our SMB business, we are also bringing state of the art products from the LG Nortel stable. We have also streamlined our training processes and established a robust ecosystem for our SMB solutions that will help channel partners deliver the value of Nortel's voice and data solutions across India at an affordable cost. Our solutions will cater to businesses even as small as three to five staff,” said Ravi Chauhan, managing director, Nortel India.

Backed by the buoyant Indian economy and the large SMB market, Nortel has established a long-term strategy to cater to specific needs and challenges of SMB customers. India is the first country in Asia where the SMB initiative was rolled out and the initiative is backed up by dedicated marketing, support infrastructure and people.

Prior to joining Nortel, Sanjay was Head of Teleconferencing and SME Business Units with Avaya Global Connect Limited (AGCL). Sanjay has over 17 years of rich experience in the telecom industry, including the creation of strong, multiple product & solution portfolios for the SMB segment.
