Now, ViewSonic launches these CASA series LCDs from 17'' widescreen to 22'' widescreen to provide price-friendly products with 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and ViewSonic expects series will allow end-users to easily experience ViewSonic LCDs high quality performance.

Elaborating on the occasion, Mr. Gautam Ghosh, country manager, ViewSonic technologies said” we have launched this series as a festive gift to our consumers. Series includes the complete portfolio of products from 17'' to 22''. The products are high technology driven and would be available to the users at very affordable prices. “We are confident that this product line will do well in the market and would be the best festive gift for the users this time” he added.

ViewSonic CASA series LCDs feature Dynamic Contrast ratio technology, which is able to automatically detect the image signal and intelligently control the backlight brightness to make the black blacker in a dark scene, and make the white whiter in the bright environment. The primary advantage of DCR technology is to intelligently control LCD panel backlight. When the image is watched in a dark room, the drawback is that if a dark scene does contain small areas of super bright light, they may be sacrificed and blown out. By intelligently modulating the backlights, the user is able to experience lower black levels while watching darker movies or video games. This can help provide for a better user experience, and overall front of screen performance.

The second advantage of DCR technology is power saving. Owing to DCR being able to automatically detect image source then to adjust LCD panel back light, the back light power consumption will differ from back light usage. Compared to convention LCDs, which backlight is always on, the voltage of LCDs with DCR technology is flexible based on the contrast ratio.

In addition, the ViewSonic CASA series LCDs can provide fast response time with ClearMotiv II technology, which is able to demonstrate the smooth video performance and deliver broadcast-quality, fast-action video for gaming, entertainment and graphic-intensive applications.

The ViewSonic CASA series LCDs with stylish slim-bezel design enhance contrast ratio up to 2000:1 . VA1716w is 17'' widescreen LCD with 5 millisecond response time. For 19'' convention LCDs, ViewSonic provides VA916 (non DVI) and VA926 with 5 millisecond response time. VA2016w (non DVI) and VA2026w are 20'' widescreen LCDs as well as 5 millisecond response time. Also, the newViewSonic series includes 22'' widescreen LCDs VA2216w (non DVI) and VA2226w. With these comprehensive product offerings, End-users can choose the most suitable LCDs for their needs.
