ViewSonic has announced the launch of a new 19” wide LCD Monitor VX1940W, the world's first 19'' LCD monitor combining ultra fast 2ms response time (grey-to-grey), wide screen format, super high resolution of 1,680x1,050 and Dynamic Contrast Ratio (DCR).

ViewSonic has specially designed the new model for passionate gamers and multimedia enthusiasts eager to enjoy even the fastest games and movie action sequences completely free of distortion and in the best possible quality. Not only the ideal solution for extreme gaming, the VX1940W holds a bunch of winning features to convince a wide audience more tempted by viewing DVDs, watching television, and even traditional computer usage.

Beyond multiple inputs, wide viewing angles (H170°/V160°), high brightness and 2 millisecond response time, the VX1940W offers a Dynamic Contrast Ratio (DCR) up to 3000:1. The DCR technology adjusts black levels based on screen content – allowing for darker black levels and a higher contrast, and a significant reduction of light leakage on darker screens, especially when viewed from the side.

This cutting-edge 19” display will be one of the first models offered by ViewSonic in its latest VX40 series, coming in a brand new design. The model is expected to be available in the Indian market by the end of this year.
