HP has introduced its stylish and ultra-portable ‘black' photo printer - HP Photosmart A626 for the upcoming festive season. The printer is available at an affordable price of Rs 7,999/ - only. The HP Photosmart A626 is targeted at home users who want instant gratification and best quality photos at breaking through speeds.
The printer features a 4.8-inch touch-sensitive screen that is the largest ever built into a portable compact photo printer. The large display is excellent for viewing photos and makes it easier to navigate the printer's interface. The printer also comes with a stylus pen that allows users to personalize and edit photos with “virtual ink” by writing on the large touch-sensitive screen. In addition, the printer's small size, built-in carrying handle and optional internal battery also enables consumers to conveniently bring it about for sharing among friends and family anywhere and anytime.
The consumers can use the display with the printer's stylus and easy-to-follow interface to effortlessly personalize photos with an abundant library of over 200 creative elements including clipart graphics, frames and pre-designed album pages. Personalizing and editing photos with the HP Photosmart A626 Photo Printer can be easily done without a computer or additional design software.
Photos can simply be read from memory cards inserted into the printer's card slots, or from PictBridge compatible cameras attached to the printer. Using the optional Bluetooth adapter, photos can also be read from Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones by the printer. Users can then easily edit and personalize their photos while guided by the highly user-friendly illustrated interface and instructions through every step from photo selection, to editing and personalization, to printing.

The HP Photosmart A626 Compact Photo Printer also features advanced photo editing capabilities. These include red eye removal, as well as black & white, antique, and sepia photo treatments that give photos a nostalgic feel. The additional “metallicize” and “solarize” photo enhancement options apply an abstract art look to photos. There is even a “slimming” enhancement option that automatically makes human subjects appear slimmer. After editing and personalization, photos can be saved back onto memory cards or printed as 5x7-inch or 4x6-inch borderless prints.
The HP Photosmart A626 Compact Photo Printer uses the HP 110 Tri-color Inkjet Print Cartridge that contains HP Vivera inks which produce lab-quality photos and deliver enhanced durability. Photos printed using HP Vivera inks have superior smudge and smear resistance, and offer long-lasting fade resistance, preserving their detail and colors for generations.
